Paul Gemmink

Biography

Paul has been a litigation lawyer in Toronto for almost 30 years.  He was called to the bar in 1985, after having attended law school at the University of Western Ontario.  His university backgound before going to law school was in science and math.

Paul started his work at a well known firm in downtown Toronto.  After two years, he went to North York, where he practiced with another lawyer that he became partners with.  He went out on his own in the mid-90s and has carried on his own practice since then.  He stayed in North York until 2000, when he went back downtown.  Since many of his clients are in construction and high-end technology with their offices in North York and York Region, he moved his office back to North York in 2014.

Paul has been in every level of court in Ontario and various administrative tribunals.  Most of his court appearances are in Toronto, Newmarket and Oshawa.  However, over the years he has been in courts all over Ontario, including Windsor, Timmins and Thunder Bay.  He has also been to court in British Columbia and Quebec as well as Ontario Court of Appeal, the Court of Appeal of British Columbia and in the Supreme Court of Canada.
